Just days after the sexual misconduct allegations against Chris Noth made rounds, the main cast of "Sex and the City" and "And Just Like That" — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon — have issued a statement in response to the claims against their co-star.
"We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth," they said in a statement posted to both Nixon and Davis' Twitter accounts. "We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."
Kim Cattrall, who was also part of the main cast during its original run, was not part of the signatories and has yet to speak out about the issue. Meanwhile, Noth is already facing the consequences, as he has been dropped from his role on "The Equalizer" and released by his talent agency.
If you or anyone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, help is available. Visit the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network website or contact RAINN's National Helpline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673).
