Kristi Toliver Facts
She was brought up in Virginia alongside her sister.
Kristi was not the first person in her family to be associated with basketball on a professional level as her father once an NBA referee.
She started off with a strong basketball career, as by the time she completed her high school she had already won several accolades including the McDonald’s All-American, EA Sports All-American, and USA Today All-USA Basketball Team member. Other than that, she was also rewarded with the Virginia State Gatorade Player of the Year and Virginia Ms. Basketball title.
Kristi was one of the players who took part in the 2005 WBCA High School All-America Game and the 2005 McDonald’s All-American Game.
Her last few-second 3-pointer contribution to the University of Maryland women’s basketball team led them to win their first-ever national championship.
At the EuroBasket Women 2015 qualification tournament in 2014, she played for the Slovakian women’s national basketball team.
Kristi was appointed as a full-time assistant coach for the Washington Wizards on October 16, 2018.
Until May 2020, she had been crowned the WNBA Champion twice.
